Spent coffee grounds

The ingredient for Snack & Confectionary products and Restaurants

Meet COFFEE BASE
The multifunctional food ingredient

you need

We up-cycle spent coffee grounds (coffee waste) into a new food ingredient. That’s right, that means that we are creating food without using arable land!

You can add Coffee Base to your end-products
to not only improve their nutritional profile, but to additionally give your consumers the up-cycled foods they are searching for!

Don't throw it, when it can be reused as food

It takes 4 years for a coffee plant to bear fruits that contain the magical coffee bean

Travels 9.733 km
from Brasília to Copenhagen

Coffee is harvested and travels all over the world. Approximately, 4.3 tonnes CO2e are emitted by transporting 1 ton of coffee from Brasília (Brazil) to Copenhagen (Denmark) by plane

25 sec.
of brewing coffee

All of this for 25 seconds of brewing a cup of coffee. This generates spent coffee grounds that are then thrown away

That's a shame because spent coffee grounds contain 99% of coffee's nutrients!
